Sainsbury’s Energy Relaunches with Npower

Sainsbury’s Energy has relaunched after announcing a partnership with big 6 energy supplier Npower.

The relaunch follows the news that Sainsbury’s Energy ended their white label partnership with British Gas in February 2019.

Being a white label, meant that British Gas were supplying gas and electricity to Sainsbury’s Energy customers, only under the Sainsbury’s brand.

Any customers who were with Sainsbury’s Energy before their recent relaunch, have been moved to British Gas as of 17 April 2019 but account numbers, tariff type and payments have not changed. In addition, any outstanding credit or debt will move across too.

In their new form with Npower, Sainsbury’s Energy currently have one tariff available, the Sainsbury’s Energy Fix and Reward v1, which features 100% renewable electricity.

Customers that switch will be paying annual fixed costs of £1,040, based on typical usage, and can receive up to 4,000 Nectar points for switching.
